Allied Milling and Baking Group, part of Associated British Foods (ABF), has once again demonstrated its commitment to service excellence by receiving CCA Global’s Gold Achievement Award — celebrating over 15 years of sustained accreditation in customer experience.

The Award was presented at this year’s CCA Leaders’ Summit in London reflecting Allied’s deep-rooted ethos of placing customers and communities at the heart of everything they do.

A Legacy of Leadership

As one of the UK’s most recognisable food brands, Allied Bakeries is behind household names like Kingsmill, Allinson’s, Burgen, and Sunblest, with fresh bakery goods delivered from their nationwide network of bakeries and depots every single day.

The Customer Service and Consumer Care teams, based at the Grocery Service Centre near Liverpool, play a critical role in supporting both consumers and business customers — from local schools to national retailers.

The centre operates as a shared services hub across the ABF Grocery division, serving brands including Patak’s, Blue Dragon, Silver Spoon, Dorset Cereals, Ryvita and more.

A People-Centred Business, Powered by Purpose

What sets Allied apart is not only their commitment to operational excellence, but also their values-led approach to service and community. Allied continues to embed a culture of fairness, respect, and opportunity, with a focus on wellbeing, inclusion, and internal progression. Their transparent leadership style and “open door” philosophy have created a workplace where colleagues feel heard, valued and supported.

Initiatives such as regular “stay interviews,” open learning opportunities, and clear communication channels including the innovative “Out of the Box” app — are helping create a workplace built on trust and adaptability.

Delivering on Impact, Inside and Out

Allied’s care doesn’t stop at the bakery doors. Their work with organisations like FareShare and Save the Children continues to make a tangible difference across UK communities. Through food donations, family grants and early years support, they’re helping to ease hardship and give children a stronger start.

CCA congratulates Allied for being a consistent leader in customer service - not only maintaining high standards, but raising them year after year. Their long-standing accreditation journey is a testament to the power of continuous improvement, strong leadership, and meaningful values.

Looking Ahead

“Allied represents the very best of customer-led organisations; forward-thinking, people-focused and built to last. Their Gold Award is richly deserved.”
Anne Marie Forsyth, Executive Chair, CCA Global

These efforts reflect a deeper purpose - that of being a responsible employer, trusted brand, and community partner.
