Workforce of the Future – Skills, Technology & Talent in Action
As part of CCA Raising the Bar: Excellence in Practice, CCA members are invited to a hosted site visit at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) in Swansea.
DVLA will showcase how they are building a Workforce of the Future through a joined-up focus on technology, talent and capability.
Members will hear how DVLA is piloting a new approach to learning moving from modular classroom-based training into a live operational environment - supported by emerging technology that can intelligently route calls based on advisor skills.
The team will also share how their recruitment approach is evolving, including the reintroduction of interviews to strengthen candidate quality, and the practical challenges overcome along the way.
Alongside this, DVLA will explore how their Learning & Development function is shaping future-ready career pathways, leadership development and long-term skills renewal, underpinned by their CCA Accreditation journey. The visit will conclude with a hosted site tour, bringing these initiatives to life in practice
