When we talk about the Roaring Twenties or the Swinging Sixties, there's a very clear image in our minds; but in the future, what one idea will pinpoint the decade that has just ended? The Techie Tens might fit, but perhaps that fails to capture the excitement of the innovation that defined the last ten years - or the growing concerns about the ways in which technology rules our lives.

As the last decade drew to a close, one of the most hotly-discussed topics was the way communication has changed over the past ten years. Technology revolutionised the way we connect, but there's a lingering feeling that we may be starting to lose the human touch. Perhaps the next decade will bring about a reaction to this, and a renewed yearning for human connection?

A new year brings the opportunity for a new start; and for 2020, one of our key focuses at CCA will be to inspire: inspiring ourselves to strive to achieve new things in customer experience, and inspiring others to aim for even greater development, skills and service. I think this quote captures the right spirit to motivate us for the year ahead, where we will be building and recognising new skills to excel and focusing more than ever on the people who make CCA what it is:

"Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.” —Carl Bard

Have a great weekend!
