I can’t believe it’s that time of year again - the CCA Annual Convention and Excellence Awards extravaganza will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday in Glasgow. It scarcely feels like a few months since last year's event!

As all those who organise events will know, it’s not an occupation for the faint-hearted. Someone likened it to the self inflicted torture of organising your giant wedding - regularly!

So in advance of the proceedings I’d like to say a huge thanks from the heart to the amazing events team at CCA and our helpers - all our fabulous speakers and event hosts, the fantastic Hilton Hotel in Glasgow for all their help and flexibility, event sponsors for terrific input to the programme, and of course the many of you reading this who will be looking out the glad-rags and setting out for (hopefully) smooth journeys to Glasgow!

I'd also like to say a big congratulations to all of our entrants who have been shortlisted for an award - the standard of entries was extremely high and to be shortlisted is a real achievement, showcasing your dedication to customer service. Well done!

I’m really looking forward to seeing you all next week for the 25th Annual Convention as we venture confidently into a new decade together - let’s hope the uncertainty of this year transforms thinking to become the roaring 20s!
