Advice Direct Scotland is Scotland's leading not for profit helpline delivering strictly impartial advice and information on consumer related issues to over 400,000 citizens every year.
The ADS contact centre team has 37 fte based across two centres, the larger in Glasgow (c30 fte) and the smaller centre in Stornoway (c7 fte). The team handles c210k customer contacts per year. In addition, the website, consumeradvice.scot receives c250k hits annually.
Advice Direct's trading arm, Social Enterprise Direct, undertakes commercial contracts throughout the UK, generating both revenue and sustainable employment.
We had the opportunity to chat to ADS Chief Executive Andrew Bartlett recently and asked for his views on the impact of the pandemic on society and what advice he could offer to other organisations seeking to provide support and guidance to those in need.
